Relex RBD performs a wide range of calculations: availability, reliability, unavailability, MTBF, failure rate, expected number of failures, mean unavailability, total downtime, failure frequency, and hazard rate. > More Information
Relex ® FMEA/FMECA was designed to handle your Failure Mode and Effects Analyses (FMEAs) with unsurpassed power and flexibility. The methodology contained within Relex FMEA allows you to quickly and easily analyse the potential failure modes of your system and the resulting effects of those failures. Supporting a variety of formats, Relex FMEA is equally adept at performing process, design, functional, and piece-part level FMEAs. Additionally, Relex FMEA takes FMEA processes to a new level by supporting two fully-featured compatible FMEA versions: a Windows-based application and a zero-client web-based front end. By allowing you to select your FMEA data entry mechanism, Relex FMEA supports a collaborative environment conducive to a successful FMEA process.> More information
Widely used in system reliability and safety studies, fault tree analysis offers the ability to focus on an event of importance, such as a highly critical safety issue, and work to minimize its occurrence or consequence. Fault tree analyses are performed using a top-down approach. Starting with a top-level event, fault tree analysis is performed by working down to evaluate all the contributing events that may ultimately lead to the occurrence of the top-level event. The resulting fault tree diagram is a graphical representation of the chain of events in your system or process, built using events and logical gate configurations. The probability of the top-level event can then be determined by using mathematical techniques.. >More Information
Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action Systems (FRACAS) provide a framework for controlling corrective action processes. The FRACAS process may also be referred to as DRACAS (Data Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System), or PRACA (Problem Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System), as well as CA (Corrective Action) systems, and other acronyms. At its core, FRACAS is a comprehensive closed-loop corrective action system which enables you to collect, quantify, and control a wide range of incoming incident reports, such as test data, field data, or repair data. A FRACAS aims to control the process to ensure that product reliability and quality objectives are met. Relex ® FRACAS provides a comprehensive framework which supports a broad range of process management methods based on individual needs and requirements. > Link to
Maintainability predictions enable you to analyse the repair metrics of your system or process. By offering an organised approach to defining system repair properties, Relex ® Maintainability Prediction provides a solid framework for performing maintainability analyses. By evaluating repair statistics, you can work to minimise system repair times, thereby minimising downtime and increasing your system availability. Relex Maintainability Prediction allows you to define your repair tasks and easily reuse this information throughout your design. Using these metrics, Relex Maintainability Prediction calculates a host of maintenance parameters including Mean Time to Repair (MTTR), Mean Corrective Maintenance Time, Mean Preventive Maintenance Time, and Maximum Corrective Maintenance Time.. > Link to
Life Cycle Cost (LCC) analysis provides methodology for computing the cost of your product over its lifetime. You may include many different types of costs such as design, production, warranty, repair, and disposal. By factoring in frequently overlooked items, such as cost of part failures and repairs, life cycle cost tools endeavour to provide a picture of true cost over the life of your product. Relex ® Life Cycle Cost is a full life cycle cost analysis package which supports parametric, analogy, bottom-up, and direct cost analysis types. Calculated cost information includes total lifetime cost and can also include sensitivity calculations and Net Present Value (NPV) computations.. > Link to
Powerful Statistical Tool for Analysing Field Data Weibull techniques enable you to examine any type of failure data you have collected. You can use Weibull tools to effectively analyse all types of system life data, including mechanical, chemical, electronic, material, and even human failure data. You can then use your real-world field data to predict trends and analyse your system reliability. > Link to
Real-world maintenance modeling. Relex OpSim effectively addresses multiple facets of component maintenance including defining and allocating repair teams, stocking and shipping to and from offsite spares pools, and more. You can define maintenance plans that specify the time interval, cost, and the type of maintenance being performed. You can also specify labour costs and designate if repair is partial or perfect. > Link to
Markov analysis techniques can be applied to a wide variety of engineering applications where system states need to be taken into account. Markov analyses study dependent random events-events whose likelihood depends on what happened last, or where the sequence of occurrence must be considered for analysis. When applied in the reliability field, Markov analyses significantly enhance analysis tools such as reliability block diagrams and fault trees by factoring sequential probabilities into reliability calculations. Relex ® Markov provides you with the powerful capabilities of Markov analysis in an easy-to-use, fully featured package. Relex Markov provides fast, accurate reliability analyses for complex systems with common cause failures, degradation, induced or dependent failures, multi-operational state components, and other sequence-dependent events > Link to
Human errors account for an alarming rate of failures throughout a broad range of industries worldwide. With high failure rates and the fact that the results of human error can result in enormously costly failures, including the loss of life, the need for human error analysis and safety assessment is crucial. Methodologies for analysing human error have been developed and adopted in several industries, with NASA being a leader in this effort. Relex Software and NASA have worked jointly to develop a software tool based on the NASA adopted methodology to aid in the analysis of human error and corresponding risk assessment. The resulting Relex ® Human Factors Risk Analysis provides a comprehensive, systematic, and streamlined approach to addressing this critical issue.> Link to
